Maseru,Dec. 03 — The United States of America funded programme DREAMS celebrated its 10th anniversary in Maseru on Tuesday.
Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-Free, Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) is a 10 country initiative that aims to reduce new HIV infections in adolescent girls and young women by 10 percent.
In his remarks the U.S embassy Chargé d’affairs Mr. Thomas Haines said that this celebration comes at the opportune time when the world just celebrated the World AIDS day as well as the launch of the 16 days of activism against gender based violence.
He indicated that it is through such programmes that the world can be able to attain HIV free generations as education is being passed in more creative ways.
