EASTER ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN ENDS

Maseru, Apr.14 — Although the country has seen a rise in road accidents over Easter, the road safety campaign, which was launched in March and ended on Friday was a success.

This was said by  Road Safety Officer Mr. Setsoto Putsoa in an interview with the Agency, saying overspeeding and drunken trafficking remain challenges.

He indicated that most traffic tickets that were issued during the campaign were those related to over speeding, saying the fact that the law provides that alcohol limit should not exceed 100 milligrams is somehow a challenge as most motorists engaged in drunken driving but the alcohol reading was below 100 ml when tested…
