FARMERS ADAMANT NOT TO SELL MAIZE

 

Thaba Tseka Aug 01 – Local farmers say they cannot sell their maize to the government for  M275 for 50kg.

This was stated in an interview with Thaba Tseka Farmers Forum Coordinator Mr. Theto Ramaota on Tuesday who stated that the amount is  low and unacceptable.

He said they have  produced maize in small quantities and cannot risk selling it at low prices to the government when they have a local market that takes them for M360.00 per 50kg.
