WOMEN’S MONTH COMMEMORATION BEGINS

Maseru, Aug. 01 – Enactment of Laws governing protection and promotion of women rights signifies progress in the country in curbing Gender Based Violence (GBV).

This was said by Women and Law in Southern Africa –Lesotho (WILSA) Executive Director Advocate Libakiso Matlho in an interview with the Agency in commemoration of women’s month.

Adv. Matlho indicated that the Counter Domestic Violence Act of 2022 has contributed immensely towards prevention of GBV as most women were abused and killed by the people close to them, encouraging women to study this law so that they could know about it and where to report when they have experienced any form of abuse. . .
