FARMERS FIELD SCHOOLS MONITORED ON SWEET POTATO FARMING 

Leribe, Mar. 13 — With the purpose of increasing sweet potato production in Leribe and the country at large, Farmers Field Schools ( FFS) were monitored by Department of Agriculture Research within Ministry of Agriculture Nutrition and Food Security on Wednesday.

The FFS are established under the support of Agriculture Productivity Program of Southern Africa (APPSA) for Lesotho Project.

The monitored schools were namely Boiphihlelo, Nthoe- ntle Mantsoana and Matlakeng Farmers Field Schools.

In an interview with the agency Senior Research Officer Extension Ms. Mokhants’o Morahanye said the purpose of the schools is to disseminate improved technologies in agriculture, as it takes a bigger group thus making it easy. . .
