FINANCE MINISTRY ON SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Maseru, April 12 — The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning has called for submission of the 2025/26 Skills and Development Needs to identify sector-specific skills development needs for National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS).

This is part of the government’s efforts to foster sustainable economic growth and enhancing workforce capabilities, according to a Saving-gram signed by the Ministry’s Principal Secretary (PS), Ms. Nthoateng Lebona.

In alignment with national development goals, the Ministry calls each sector to provide input on the critical skills gaps and training requirements necessary to support sectoral growth and productivity.

This will ultimately help in the shaping of policies and programmes meant to improve workforce competencies and ensure alignment with industry demands as according to the Ministry. AM/TL
