Beijing, Aug. 23 — The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will be held in Beijing from September 04 to 06. The forum whose objectives among others include equal consultation, enhancing understanding, expanding consensus, strengthening friendship and promoting cooperation.
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Chen Xiaodong disclosed at a media briefing on Friday where he said that China will expand institutional opening-up and deepen cooperation with Africa in terms of industrial and supply chains, in order for the two sides to share development benefits.
He said that the FOCAC summit is expected to further deepen solidarity and cooperation between China and Africa, saying it will make new contributions to promoting global modernization and the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
He said that the 2024 FOCAC Beijing summit will be an event to celebrate China-Africa friendship, explore cooperation, and chart the course for the future under the theme of “Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future.”
