GARMENTS INDUSTRY TO CREATE 2000 NEW JOBS-SHELILE

Maseru, Nov 09 – Minister of Trade, Industry and Small Business Mr. Mokhethi Shelile says the garment industry will create around 2000 new jobs in January next year.

The Minister said this during a question-and-answer session in the National Assembly on Thursday.

He said the Cabinet has instructed the Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) to inject M10 million to the garment factories so that they will be operational in a bid to create new jobs.

The Minister said these garment factories will be able to get new orders and that at least around 2000 new jobs will be created in January next year alone. . .
