Maseru, May 28 — The government has advised itself to extent age groups of youth who may wish to be members of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) from 18 to 28 years.
This was disclosed by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Mr Limpho Tau in the National Assembly on Wednesday.
Mr. Tau said this was done upon realization that it has been about six years since LDF hired new members thus the aim is to avoid exclusion of other age groups as it used to be 18 to 24 years.
He clarified that applicants should be born between September 30, 1997 and October 01, 2007 and should be mentally and physically healthy without any criminal record or court case. . .
