IEC CLARIFIES JOBS FOR MONEY CLAIMS

Maseru, Aug 07 — The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) says there are no job vacancies which are sold in order to be hired at the commission.

IEC Public Relations Manager Mr. Tuoe Hantsi told the Agency in an interview that IEC’S vacant positions are advertised and forms should be filled and not selling the positions to any job seekers for money.

He said this comes after the commission was recently inundated with people demanding to be hired after paying money ranging between M2500 upwards, saying they were told that there was nothing like that.

Mr. Hantsi said some of these fraudsters have been arrested by the police after being traced.

He therefore appealed to Basotho to be proactive and not fall prey to these fraudsters by paying their hard-earned money without even having verified the facts. . .
