INMATES, LCS IN THE DARK-MOTHOBI

Maseru, Feb. 24 — Delay in release of report by the Commission of Inquiry on the escape of inmates continues to leave both inmates and Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) anxious.

Crime Prevention, Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Ex-Offenders Association (CRROA) Executive Director Mr. Nkalimeng Mothobi, told the Agency in an interview that they were hoping the report would have been release by now as the Commission completed taking evidence at Maseru Central Correctional Institution (MCCI) in September last year.

“We were hoping the Commission would compile a report within three to four months but that has not been the case,” he said…
