JESSIE APPOINTED TO AFRICAN MANUFACTURERS FOUNDATION ADVISORY BOARD

Maseru, May 13 — The African Manufacturers Foundation (AMF) has appointed Ms. Mamphuto Jessie to the Advisory Board, thus representing Lesotho to the high level position.

Information from the foundation has shown that Ms. Jessie’s appointment brings her to the continental leadership structure led by former President of Mauritius, Dr Ameenah Gurib-Fakim.

Ms. Jessie is known locally and regionally as a respected entrepreneur and business leader with more than 14 years of experience in fleet management, mining, supply chain management, and business development. She is the Shareholder and Managing Director of Avis Budget Rent-a-Car Lesotho, Exclusive Cleaners, Nola World, M and J Mining, and River Rocks Mining.

It is said that she serves in several influential leadership positions namely:  Chairperson of the Federation of Lesotho Women Entrepreneurs (FLWE) Maseru District, Founder and Chairperson of Lesotho Women in Mining Association (LEWIMA), Treasurer of SADC Women in Mining Association (SADC WIMA), Board Director of BEDCO and Alternate Board Member of MCA-Lesotho II.

Meanwhile, AMF Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr.  Lebo Radebe, said Ms Jessie’s appointment represents visionary African leadership committed to empowerment, industrialisation, and sustainable economic growth.

“We are honoured to welcome her to the AMF family as we continue building a united manufacturing movement for Africa.” Her appointment further strengthens AMF’s mission of advancing African manufacturing, industrialisation, beneficiation, and the Made and Celebrated in Africa movement across the continent.

Ms. Jessie holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Public Relations and Communication Science and is passionate about mentoring young women in business and leadership.

Her appointment further strengthens AMF’s mission of advancing African manufacturing, industrialisation, beneficiation, and the “Made and Celebrated in Africa™” movement across the continent.

The African Manufacturers Foundation official launch and Digital Manufacturing Exhibition will take place on 28 August 2026 in Sandton, South Africa.
