Maseru, Sept. 25 — Lefu Manyokole, one of the accused in the over M130 million Disaster Management Authority (DMA) corruption case, says a decision by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to indict him to the High Court was irrational and malicious.
This he said in his founding affidavit accompanying his application challenging the same decision.
He added that the decision offends his constitutional rights which are provided for under section 12 of the Constitution of Lesotho. He pointed out that the DPP is enjoined by the law to make just and fair administrative decisions adding that in the present matter, she failed to do so.
He added that she abused her powers therefore her decision must be set aside as unlawful.
