JUDICIARY ATTENDS HIGH COURT CIVIL LITIGATION RULES

Maseru, Jan. 28 – To deepen understanding of High Court Civil Litigation Rules, 2024, the Lesotho Judiciary are attending a three-day workshop in Maseru starting on Tuesday.

The workshop that has attracted experts from Namibia was officiated by Chief Justice Sakaoane Sakoane who highlighted the importance of Judiciary in the dispensation of justice.

He said these Rules gave too much space for lawyer-driven litigation and were replete with technicalities and techniques for trial by ambush, adding they were made by the colonial system…
