KAMOLI WANTED TO BE CLOSE TO PM – TSÓOANA

Maseru, Oct.28—Former Commissioner of Police (COMPOL) Dr. Khothatso Tsóoana has on Tuesday told the High Court that Former Army Commander Lieutenant General Tlali Kamoli wanted to be close to Former Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Motsoahae Thabane hence an attack on Liabiloe Ramoholi, now ‘Maesiah Thabane, in 2014.

In his evidence in an ongoing trial in which Kamoli and four army members are accused of bombings his home (Dr. Tsóoana) at Ha Abia and that of Ramoholi at Moshoeshoe II, he stated that the information was revealed through several intelligence he received.

He added that the intelligence also revealed that a plan to attack the home of Ramoholi, who was at that time a girlfriend to the PM, was done because she appeared to be more influential on the PM. He indicated that the tip-off added that Kamoli was worried that the PM preferred the police to the army and he was scared that he might lose his job.
