Berea, July 02 — Over 60 jockeys of Palamang Matsékha Horse Racing Association horses are expected to partake in the procession of King’s birthday district level celebration to be staged at Bela-Bela on July 16.
Palamang Matsékha Horse Racing Association (PMHRA) Chairperson Mr. Nnena Masupha confirmed the development during an interview with the Agency on Tuesday where he highlighted that preparations are at an advanced stage.

Mr. Masupha highlighted that it will be history in making as they honour King Letsie III with horse’s procession in Bela-Bela, adding that participating in such a noble event that marks a memorable activity even for the generations to come.
He pointed out that their mood is ignited to showcase the talent instilled on their horses, highlighting that they are more than ready to display different stunts performed by their horses.
Mr. Masupha said in the past Basotho have always been known for their strong desire in keeping animals, particularly horses for their biggest role of being a mode of transport, hence they saw the importance to grace the event as Matsékha jockeys in order to revive the spirit of keeping horses. . . .
