MASERU — Although the community of Kolonyama welcomes the upcoming prayer service to be held at Ha Molipa, where 13 people lost their lives in tragic accidents within a period of three days, they called on the government to come up with massive measures as soon as possible.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency, one Mr. Mokhasi Motsieloa said not a year passes without loss of life in a road accident at Kolonyama. ” We consider Ha Molipa to Sechaba route a high accident zone, based on the fact that even pedestrians, especially herders, lose lives in that area” he said.
He therefore called on the government to extend main north 1 road from Leribe to Maseru as it is narrow to cater for two-way traffic.
“We welcome the spiritual intervention but the government also has to come up with a long-term solution to this problem, ” he said. . . .
