ILLEGAL ALLOCATION OF LAND REMAINS A CHALLENGE

Thaba Tseka Jun 25 – The Assistant Technical Team Leader, Jakupa-Tony-Mansee has said that the constitution clearly outlines the Land Act of 2010, which addresses land allocation, but lacks specific provisions for spatial planning.

This, Mr. Teboho Lebusa stated while addressing the members of the steering committee in Thaba Tseka on Wednesday.

Mr. Lebusa states that land allocation should be done by the council, but illegal allocations by individual councillors, chiefs, and public servants persist.

He continued to explain that this situation occurs despite people being aware of a provision in the law that allows for the recovery of land allocated illegally. . .
