Qacha’s Nek, Nov. 06 — In a landmark event for the education sector, the Lesotho Association of Teachers (LAT) in Qacha’s Nek, with support from the Ontario Teachers Federation (OTF) of Canada, pledged M20,000 in examination fee bursaries to ten Grade 11 students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Each student will receive M2,000, a crucial step in supporting vulnerable youth aspiring to join the teaching profession.
The beneficiaries were five male and five female students, chosen from high schools across the district, including John XXIII, Patlong, Boithatelo, Tebellong, Makhalong, Makhaola, Qacha’s Nek, ‘Melikane, and Ramats’eliso Government School.
The ceremony, held at the District Education Office, was attended by LAT Maseru officials, District Resource Teacher, school principals, and the selected students. . .
