LECSA LEADS PRAYER SERVICE FOR THE ROYAL FAMILY

Maseru, Jan. 25 — The Lesotho Evangelical Church of Southern Africa (LECSA) on Sunday held its annual prayer session for the Royal Family at Matsieng, bringing together congregants, clergy and members of the royal household in a spirit of reflection and thanksgiving.

Speaking during his welcome remarks Prince Seeiso Bereng Seeiso said  the prayer session serves as an act of gratitude to God, while also honouring departed members of the Royal Family.

He noted that the gathering remains an important moment for spiritual renewal and remembrance especially at the beginning of the year.

The prayer service was led by Reverend Masilo Phate, who drew inspiration from a scripture reading taken from the Book of Psalms, calling on believers to remain steadfast in faith despite life’s challenges.

In his preaching, Reverend Phate emphasized the importance of praising God and glorifying His name against all odds, urging worshippers to place their trust in God at all times.

He further highlighted the value of love, reminding the congregation of God’s unconditional love for the world and encouraging unity, compassion and peace among the nation’s people.

The service was marked by the singing of traditional hymns, including hymn numbers 224, 264 and 273, as well a Bible verse from 2 Kings chapter 22 verse 3 to 11 which added to the solemn and reverent atmosphere of the gathering.

The annual prayer session continues to play a significant role in fostering spiritual support for the Royal Family and promoting peace and stability across the country.
