LESOTHO RED CROSS EMPOWERS LEAD FARMERS IN QACHA’S NEK

Qacha’s Nek, Nov. 14 — This week, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition (MAFSN) launched a capacity-building initiative for lead farmers in Ha Thube.

A similar training is also ongoing in Tebellong as part of the Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS)’s nine-month project, funded by the Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF).

The project aims to promote proper nutrition in preparation for seed distribution to local beneficiaries.

The project, which began in May 2024 and runs until February 2025, is designed to enhance food security and combat malnutrition.
