DMA CELEBRATES  DISASTER RISK REDUCTION DAY 

Maseru, Nov. 14 — The Disaster Management Authority (DMA) commemorated Disaster Risk Reduction Day (DRR) at Khoeli Primary School in Koro-Koro, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and education in mitigating disaster risks.

The event, led by DMA Executive Mr. Reatile Elias, marked the annual DRR celebration on October 13 with a focus on empowering communities to proactively address disaster prevention.

In his address, Mr. Elias highlighted DMA’s commitment to promoting disaster prevention as a shared responsibility, urging communities to take proactive measures to reduce the likelihood of both natural and human-made disasters.

 “Disaster prevention is everyone’s responsibility,” he emphasized.
