ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ON MAJOR ROADS KICKS-OFF

Maseru, Aug 10 — The Road Directorate says the launch of a nation-wide campaign, termed “Operation Kaka-Kata” (Mokoari Project) aimed at addressing the backlog of maintenance on major roads has kicked off.

Mrs Nozesolo Matela who is the Roads Directorate Public Relations Manager told the Agency on Thursday that recognizing the vital role of well-maintained roads in fostering economic growth and social development, the Roads Directorate has undertaken this ambitious project to enhance major roads across the country.

She said “Operation Kata-kata” (Mokoari Project) kicked off last week Tuesday, with dedicated in-house teams working on various sections on the main roads, such as the B20 road and the A1 road in Maseru, Berea, Leribe, Botha-Bothe and Mokhotlong. . .
