Maseru,Aug.06—The usage of emerging technologies and innovation that seem to be spreading across the globe can in a way help in the improvement of sustainable agricultural systems.
This was said by the Minister of Information, Communication, Science, Technology and Innovation Ms. Nthati Moorosi during a panel discussion at the High level dialogue on the Future of Food Security in Lesotho which was held in Maseru on Tuesday.
In her remarks during these discussions, Ms. Moorosi indicated that the usage of technology can help farmers with the acquisition of markets which can enable them for better sale of their products.
She mentioned that digital platforms can also help farmers meet with the suppliers of seeds, machinery and fertilisers.
She added that when well utilised, technology can help farmers stream activities and robotics that can help lower activities such extended labour in fields…
