Mohale’s Hoek, October.13 — Thursday’s rain which was accompanied by a bolt lightening is reported to have been the cause of a fire which burned to ashes a 4 room house at Ha ‘Mako in Mpharane.
In an interview with the Agency, the area Chief ‘Mafolatsane Mohale noted that it was raining heavily around 4 or 5 in the afternoon and the lightening had struck about 2 times, when suddenly the owner of the house who was outside drawing some water, noticed fumes of smoke recurring from the other bedroom.
Mrs. Mohale articulated that within the blink of an eye the whole house was engulfed with flames which burned everything to ashes, including identity documents of the family members.
Chieftainess pointed out that 4 people reside in the said house which has been totally burnt down.
