Maseru, Oct. 27 — The Lesotho Meteorological Services (LMS) has held its first graduation ceremony for 13 of the staff members, the event was held in Maseru on Friday.
The graduands consist 11 women and two men who obtained certificates of Basic Instruction Package for Meteorological Technician (BIP-MT Course) and Aviation Meteorology Observer (AMO Course).
In his remarks, the Principal Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Defence, National Security and Environment Mrs. Mabataung Khalane said the LMS has made history by recognising the potential of its staff members.
She indicated that this is going to improve the observation in the weather department for accurate reports of the weather.
