Qacha’s Nek, Sept. 28 — The Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) is set to host a week-long first aid training from Monday, October 20, 2025, to Friday, equipping participants with life-saving skills essential for emergencies.
During the announcement at LRCS premises, government and private sector representatives witnessed live demonstrations, including how to assist someone with nose bleeding, perform the heimlich maneuver on a choking victim, and carry out resuscitation for accident casualties.
According to LRCS Qacha’sNek Divisional Secretary, Mr. Motautona Thabo, first aid knowledge is more than just practical, it’s lifesaving.
“First aid saves lives by enabling immediate responses to emergencies, prevents conditions from worsening, and promotes recovery until professional help arrives,” he explained.
