Maseru, Dec. 09—Former Basotho Action Party (BAP) Secretary General (SG) Mr. Lebohang Thotanyana says former BAP Deputy Leader, Mr. Motlatsi Maqelepo is currently experiencing political punishment, and the worst at that.
Thotanyana said Mr. Maqelepo, Tello Kibane and Mrs. ‘Mamoipone Senauoane will not be expelled from their parliamentary positions which they acquired through BAP, they will remain parliamentarians.
He said the law provides that among other reasons that a person may cease to be a parliamentarian, include resigning from the position and in this case they would have not resigned, adding that they also cannot be expelled from the party as that would be cutting the umbilical cord between the three parliamentarians and their party…
