Maseru, Aug 04 — Director of Elections Advocate Mpaiphele Maqutu says the Commission is need of a total of M38 Million ahead of this year’s Local Government elections scheduled for September 29.
In his briefing during the official launch of the National Joint Operation Centre (NATJOC) held at the Lehakoe Recreation Centre on Friday, Adv. Maqutu said the Commission was allocated a total of M59 Million but that the Government took back M22 million. He said this means IEC was left with only M37 million to prepare for the Local Government elections. . .
