MATEKANE LAUNCHES ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION CENTRE IN QUTHING

Quthing, August 31 — The Prime Minister Mr. Samuel Matekane officially launched the first artificial insemination centre of the first of its kind in the county at sheep Stud on Thursday this week.

Speaking at the same event Mr. Matekane who is also the Minister of Environment, Defence and National Security said the centre will play a vital role to faster promote high quality breeding Merino Sheep and angora goats for the benefit of the farmers who will through artificial insemination get sperms sperms for rams and bucks of their choice at low cost.

He emphasized that the government will use different strategies through Lesotho Wool and Mohair Growers Association (LWMGA) in support with farmers to achieve self-reliance and job creation for improvement of economic development.
