MGP BENEFICIARIES GRADUATE

Berea—The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security’s Smallholder Agriculture Development Project (SADP) II held a graduation ceremony on Thursday for beneficiaries of the Matching Grants Program (MGP).

In his opening remarks, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Mr. Thabo Mofosi, emphasized that the project was designed with farmers in mind, aiming to empower smallholders, enhance productivity, and improve livelihoods. He underscored that farmers are the backbone of the economy.

 Mr. Mofisi highlighted the remarkable transformations witnessed throughout SADP II, which include the adoption of smart agricultural practices, strengthening farmer organizations, improving access to markets, enhancing agricultural commercialization, improving nutrition, and creating employment opportunities…
