MINISTER CONCERNED OVER DELAYED QUESTIONS

Maseru, Aug. 21 — The Minister of Public Service Mr. Steven Mputi has raised a concern over questions sent to Ministers to respond on a day before the question and answer session in the National Assembly.

This he said when standing on point of order during the question and answer session in the House on Thursday.

Mr. Mputi said they fail to effectively answer some questions due to the fact that they receive them a day before the question and answer session in the House and that some questions have to be referred to the relevant Ministry.

He also emphasised that they need to conduct a research before answering some questions, urging the House to send them on time.

However, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mrs. Ts’epang Mosena reminded the Minister that questions to be asked on the next week of question and answer session are sent a week before, saying she suspects those who are supposed to assist him on this matter fail to do so. . .
