Maseru, Nov. 24 — Preparations for the repair of boats serving the Kubung, White Hill and Ha Noosi are at an advanced stage as the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, in collaboration with relevant District Administrators has commenced engaging in negotiations and finding companies with expertise in repairing boats.
This was said by the Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation Ms. Nthati Moorosi on behalf of the Minister of Transport in the National Assembly on Monday, when responding to an urgent question of Hloahloeng Member of Parliament Mr. Katleho Mabeleng.
Ms. Moorosi said the Ministry commenced working on the matter in October and has so far received financial estimates for the repair of boats, saying the repair will resume once the purchase procedures have been complete.
She also reminded the House that the Ministry is in the process of decentralisation of boat services including officers who operate them at all border posts, saying this will contribute significantly towards providing assistance to the public on time when there is need. . .
