Mokhotlong, Feb. 06 — Mokhotlong will host the national commemoration of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month at Mapholaneng in the district on Friday this week.
The District Medical Officer (DMO), Dr. Mosa Tlahali said this when briefing Heads of Departments during their monthly meeting with took place on Tuesday.
Dr. Tlahali said annually, January has been designated as the Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, to educate women on how to be protected from this type of cancer.
She mentioned that the event will start with a health walk and then provision of some health services that include cancer screening, HIV and AIDS testing and treat, Eyes checking and Oral Health examination.
