Mohale’s Hoek, Oct.18-The Covid-19 Risk Communication Team, consisting of relevant stakeholders has held a meeting with the aim of discussing dates for community sensitization on Mpox.
According to one member Mr. Lits’oeneng Tiheli who is a Senior Information Officer at the District Administrator’s office, this follows a recent meeting for members which was aimed at establishing a plan regarding gatherings to be held at various villages, and the plan has to be implemented within 6 months.
Mr. Tiheli articulated that stakeholders need to join forces in educating communities about the Mpox, as there are too many myths surrounding the disease, one of them being it only effects people who gays and lesbians, and articulated that just like Covid-19 it is contagious…
