Maseru, Feb. 23 — Despite being aware of a consultant who is expected to develop a pricing model and system to address disputes regarding public transport fares, Maseru Region Transport Operators (MRTO) could not comment on this matter as they are due to meet with the consultant.
The Minister of Finance and Development Planning Dr. Rets’elisitsoe Matlanyane disclosed in her 2025/26 budget presentation that to address frequent disputes regarding public transport fares increase, a consultancy to develop pricing model and system has commenced.
MRTO Chairperson Mr. Mokete Jonase said they were supposed to meet with the consultant two weeks ago but the meeting was postponed, saying they could not comment until they know why the consultant was hired as well as issues he would address…
