NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ADOURNS AGAIN

Maseru, Aug 22 — The National Assembly has adjourned again until Monday next week to allow the constitutional court to pronounce itself on the matter that challenging the constitutionality of the Second Special meeting of the House.

Leader of the House, Justice Nthomeng Majara moved that the House should have a short adjournment during the second special meeting until Monday while the House awaits the High Court ruling on the Constitutional case No. 0014/2023.

She said the matter is between Yearn for Economic Sustainability (YES) and two others and the Speaker and seven others and that its judgement will be delivered on Friday, pursuant to Standing Order No. 43(2) as the case has a direct impact on the business of the Second Special Meeting.
