Mafeteng, April 04 — Ts’akholo Nutrition Club in collaboration with Ts’akholo local authorities have organised a 10 kilometers race named Ba Ha Mojela Cancer Awareness Race to be held in the area on Saturday this week.
The activity which is supported by Basotho Building Lesotho is expected to attract and bring together different age groups in the area whereby each participant is expected to register for the activity through paying M50:00
In an interview with the Ts’akholo Nutrition Club Spokesperson Mr. Khotso Mokitimi said the initiative is aimed building oneness among members of the community, strengthening education about danger of cancer and ensuring physically fit bodies of different groups of society while at the same time raising awareness about the danger and presence of different types of cancer.
He highlighted that cancer is one of the most killing diseases hence the need for members of the community to be aware of through visiting nearby health facilities for screening while those who will be diagnosed positively will be given treatment while those in severe stages will be referred to hospital for further treatment.
