GOVERNMENT EAGER TO REVIVE ASSETS RECOVERY TEAM- TAU

Maseru, Nov. 06 — The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Limpho Tau has reaffirmed the government determination to revive the Government Assets Search and Recovery Task Team (GASARTT) once it is legalised.

This, he said during his meeting with the Prime Minister’s Cluster held in Maseru on Thursday, with the objective to brief the cluster on why the Team was dissolved and map the way forward.

Mr. Tau said the government was not mistaken when it established the team based on the fact that its assets were neglected for the longest time, citing government vehicles renting in Bloemfontein and abandoned sites as some of them.

‘My office being the one which initiated the establishment of the task team has nothing to hide and will ensure it is revived for the benefit of the country” he added. . . .
