PARENTS ATTEND BASIC EDUCATION STRENGTHENING PROJECT MEETING

Thaba – Tseka, Sept. 10 — Parents and guardians gathered at Bocheletsana high school for a one-day Basic Education Strengthening Project (BESP) meeting on M1500 uniform top up.

Ms. Valeria Lesofe, Ministry of Gender,  Youth and Social Development Bursary Administrator in Mafeteng told parents they will receive this money at a date to be announced.

She explained that the shortage of uniforms among learners, particularly those receiving social grants under the Ministry is one of the hindrances to good academic performance.

Therefore, she said this is part of the government’s support of the World Bank to extend a helping hand in a bid to meet learners half way.
