Leribe,Aug. 16 — With the purpose of commemorating Women’s month, Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) Women’s Network, Pitseng is engaged in a series of events this month.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Wednesday, Sergeant ‘Matumelo Maqokela said they are holding public gatherings, paying school visits, door to door campaigns and roadblocks.
Sergeant Maqokela said during the above mentioned events the main purpose is to curb criminal activities around the Pitseng area.
Additionally, she said so far the public gatherings have been held at Bolahla whereby the villages of Ha Mohatonyane, Ha Makena and Ha Jorotane attended public gathering.
She mentioned that Gender Based Violence, Early Child Marriages and Community Policing issues are among the topics discussed during the gatherings. . .
