Maseru, Feb. 21 — Project RE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has applauded the 2024/25 fiscal year budget, particularly in the area of Tourism and Culture as a priority area in line with the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP II) review extension.

Mr. Solly Mofoka said this in an interview with the Agency, this in relation to over M140 million that has been allocated to this sector by the government through the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Dr. Retsélisitsoe Matlanyane during presentation of the budget earlier today.

He stated that in the 200 years since the formation of the Basotho nation, Project RE engaged in a number of activities inclusive of the revival torch, currently in circulation countrywide so as to spread messages of rebirth, transformation and renewal as an eternal message to Basotho.

It is against this background that he called the government through the Ministry of Tourism to consider supporting activities of these nature, so as to attract the attention of Basotho  to unifying activities.
