Mokhotlong, April 11 — The public has been sensitised on Cold Wave Anticipatory Action Plan (CWAAP) at a gathering held at Tlhanyaku in the district on Thursday.
Sensitisation was done by members of the District Disaster Management Team (DDMT) with a view to further encourage the public to protect themselves accordingly against cold waves and enhance their preparedness.
The public gathering was organised by the Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) in collaboration with Disaster Management Authority (DMA) office in Mokhotlong following an introductory meeting to DDMT on CWAAP.
Cold Wave Anticipatory Action Plan is a pilot project that will be implemented for a period of five years in the district between 2025 and 2030. LU/TL
