QACHA’S NEK — Close to 20 villages across Qacha’s Nek have been identified as top priorities for water installation projects in the 2025/26 financial year, but not all are guaranteed to benefit due to limited funds.
The Urban, Qanya, Nts’upe and Tsoelikana councils have each received M346,665 through the Development Fund for Councillors, with the full amount earmarked for addressing water shortages in selected communities.
According to Economic Planner Mrs. ’Matiisetso Moletsane, each council submitted their top-priority villages based on severity of need.
She told the Agency that urban prioritised Ha ’Manteko and Mosaqane-Majekeng; Qanya selected Ha Khoahla, Thotaneng, Ha Mosesi and Ha Ramatlaila; Nts’upe listed Ha Mofolo, Ha Chale and Ha Mapote; while Tsoelikana proposed Sekokoaneng, Ha Ramats’eliso, Masuoaneng, Ha Matlali and Ha Mosuoe. . .
