QACHA’S NEK LAUNCHES VOTER RE-REGISTRATION CAMPAIGN

Qacha’s Nek, Nov. 08 — The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) kicked off its national voter re-registration campaign in Qacha’s Nek on Friday, holding a vibrant one-day event that required only a National Identity document for participation.

The day began with a community fun walk from Lifofaneng to the district taxi rank, accompanied by a display of cultural pride, featuring traditional Mokorotlo hats.

Local organizations, including Post Bank, Alliance, Econet, and Sentebale, set up tents offering services alongside ongoing entertainment to draw in the crowd.

IEC staff wore printed regalia emblazoned with re-registration messages and handed out IEC-branded items such as pens, rulers, and sunhats to newly registered voters. . . .
