QACHA’S NEK POLICE READY FOR HOLIDAYS

Qacha’s Nek, Dec. 22 — As the holiday season peaks, Qacha’s Nek police, led by Senior Superintendent Thembinkose Sibanda, are fully prepared to manage the influx of visitors, residents, and tourists this festive season.

In an interview with the Agency, Senior Superintendent Sibanda acknowledged the challenges brought by the festivities, including alcohol abuse, road accidents, and crimes.

He assured the public of the police’s readiness to ensure safety during the celebrations.

“We are prepared to handle everything from festive entertainment to church gatherings. Safety comes first,” he said.

He said the police will deploy additional officers at the district’s two legal ports of entry, Qacha’s Nek and Ramats’eliso, to manage pedestrian and vehicular flow. They will also monitor illegal crossings in collaboration with the National Security Service (NSS), Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS), and Lesotho Defence Force (LDF).
