QACHA’S NEK PUSH FOR BETTER LGCSE RESULTS AMID CHALLENGES

Qacha’s Nek, Feb. 13 — High schools in Qacha’s Nek are ramping up efforts to improve their academic performance following a plenary meeting of high school principals convened by the Ministry of Education and Training district office.

The meeting briefly analyzed the district’s 2024 Lesotho General Certificate of Secondary Education (LGCSE) results, which saw Qacha’s Nek drop to sixth place with a 62.64 percent pass rate, tying with Butha-Buthe.

Education Inspector Mr. Mapepe Rakotje emphasized the department’s commitment to reaching every school for monitoring and support. “Yes, there are challenges, but we are doing our best. The problem is that some people are unwilling to step out of their comfort zones, but as a department, we will continue fulfilling our mandate,” he stated. . .
