Maseru, Sept. 08 — ReNOKA is on a mission to gather young Basotho to chart a bold path for natural resources management, the Youth Strategic Consultation Workshop will open a collaborative discussion and creative problem solving, and to craft a youth-led strategy that will help shape the country’s natural resources management for years to come.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ramatsoku Rampai, Youth and Gender Mainstreaming expert from the Integrated Catchment Management Coordination Unit, noted the importance of young voices in shaping solutions.
“We are not just educating, we are co-creating solutions with them,” he said, stressing that the youth are not passive participants but vital partners in ReNOKA’s mission.
Participants echoed the call for meaningful involvement. Tiisetso Mohapi highlighted the urgency of building climate literacy while ensuring young people have genuine access to leadership spaces. “Not just consultation, but true leadership,” she insisted.
