Maseru, July 01— With escalating road accidents reported in the country lately, the Department of Road Safety has intended to intensify its campaigns aimed at reducing accidents.
Road Safety Officer Mr. Setsoto Putsoa told the Agency in an interview that they intend to be seen on the roads day and night, not only to ensure road users comply with road regulations but to instill the importance of such regulations
He added that they will check if vehicles are roadworthy, motorists adhere to speed limits as well as drunken driving amongst others.
“Motorists must drive cautiously at all times to minimize casualties as anything can happen anytime on the road” he stressed. . . .
