Maseru, Nov. 11 — A 16-year old boy has been arrested in connection with the murder of a five-year old girl who disappeared on Wednesday evening at Ha Leqele in Maseru.
The girl’s body was found dumped in a donga on Thursday morning by an angry community following a night long search.
Relating how he murdered Boitelo Motsoko who was last seen playing with her peers, the suspect told the community that he called the girl to his home, covered her mouth with a masking tape and then started raping her before he strangled her until she died.
He continued to relate that he then hid the body inside a clothes trunk, while the villagers were busy searching for her.
